The Community Relations Department of the Sierra Leone Police in Bo have to embark on preaching peace messages in schools in Bo District.
In the morning hours of Friday the 23 September 2022, CRD South, Bo East and West Divisions in company with the Family Support Unit (FSU), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and the Media engaged Christ the King College (CKC) Secondary School in Bo to spread out peace messages to pupils ahead of the 2023 Elections.
The head of Community Relations Department RHQ- South Inspector Francess Blake encouraged the CKC pupils to be violent-free and focus on their education and not allow politicians to mislead them.
“Remember you’re the future leaders of Sierra Leone who are going to take up the mantle of leadership in various works of life in our beloved country and attaining the height of leadership starts today. so I encourage you all to continue brooding your book for successful results” she said.
The head of Sexual Assault Syndicate (SAS) FSU, Bo East Division, lectured on sexual offences that pupils normally commit, such as Sexual penetration of a child, meeting a child for a sexual purpose, sexual touching, and many others. Sub. Inspector Lebbie attached to the Bo West Criminal Investigation Department (CID) added that frequenting and riotous conducts amongst others are prevalent crimes that pupils are normally involved in.
Ending this fruitful engagement at Christ the King College, the Vice Principal of the Senior Secondary sector, Mr. Alfred Baion considered the engagement timely and further guaranteed the Police that CKC will treat these messages very importantly.
