The Regional Coordinator South for SHESTANDS2023, Madam Rassie Bah, has on Wednesday 21 September 2023 presented a position paper on Inclusive governance and leadership in Sierra Leone to Partners, stakeholders and Civil Society organisations in the Southern region at CRC hall kulanda town in Bo.

The lead Organisation for the occasion was MOWUDA, an organization which supports women’s participation in governance and politics.

While delivering a position paper, Madam Bah underscored that women must speak to appeal to the minds that are yet to be receptive to women’s political ambition.

She said that: “come 2023 we need to get a requesting voice than a commanding voice to increase more Women’s participation in governance and in politics.”

Without any aota of doubt, the Iron lady (Madam Bah) eloquently articulated the urgent need to support women’s aspiration to actively participate in decision making for the sustainable development.

She Stands 2023 hashtag has been implemented by stop it Sierra Leone in collaboration with other partners including CASE- Salone to promote gender representation in governance, particularly in the 2023 election, where they demanding for more female representation in Parliament, local councils and other elective positions.
