Center for Advocacy and Sustainable Empowerment, Sierra Leone (CASE-Salone) with support from Global Fund for Children has benefited from a three-day training workshop with specific functional monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) tools.
The training was conducted by YAMSAL Development Service, a reputable consulting firm that provides capacity development services amongst others.
According to the Communication and Programme Manager, Mustapha Keita, in the mid of the training, Monitoring Evaluation and Accountable Learning was seen as one of the most important component in organization as far as project/activity is concerned.
He said that the training was not just viewed as an exercise designed to develop necessary MEAL tools, but a capacity development where participants learned some MEAL terminologies; target setting, problem indication, to name but few.
Mr. Keita admitted that “I am considering diverting my career to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, as it exposes one to gaining broad understanding in organizational programming”.
He also went further to encourage female participants to think about pursuing MEAL, as it’s a field that is lucrative.
The Executive Director and Founder, Rassie Bah and the participants extended their gratitude to Muvunzi Tsitsi of YAMSAL Development Service for her outstanding performance and commitment to the three days engagement.
