In what has been described in Bo SLPP circles as a wishful thinking, the Southern Regional All Peoples Congress National Reforms Movement Mohamed Foday Kallon has expressed hope that his party will bounce back 2023.
He made this statement shortly after the long standing APC case was thrown out of court last week.
“We requested for the out of court settlement and that was done as we now to strengthen the constitution for a level playing field,” Kallon said.
He said with the new constitution every member can have the opportunity to run for offices within the party after expunging the selection clause.
According to Mr. Kallon, they will now be having an emergency delegate conference to adopt the new constitution, which will be followed by setting up a team that will organize the elections ranging from zonal to national election.
Kallon alleges massive corruption in the SLPP, adding that under APC people were enjoying.
Reacting to APC party bouncing back to power, some members of the SLPP party in the Bo District said that it will be difficult for the APC to just bounce back like that when they have a record of massive corrupt, for which some are being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Commissions of Inquiry.
“SLPP is now focused on rebuilding the nation that has been looted by the APC government. Please allow the green house to put systems in place which was not done by the APC,” Brima Rogers, a staunch SLPP support said.
