Inspector Mariatu Conteh has on the 19th August 2022 testified against Morlai kargbo and Musa samba for alleged stolen goods at Guma valley Water Company in Freetown.
Both accused were standing before the court on three counts charges of larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act 1916, malicious damage and receiving stolen goods.
Police alleged that both accused Morlai Kargbo and Musa Samba on Sunday 17th July, 2022 at Guma valley water Company compound tower hill did steal one blue and white colored baylan water meter with serial number 01266539 valued two thousand six hundred and ten Leones property of Guma valley Water Company.
It was also alleged that both accused maliciously damaged one blue and white colored Baylan water meter
And also Mohamed koroma on the same day did receive stolen property of Guma valley Water Company.
Led in in evidence by inspection Musu Edna Kpulun prosecution witness number three sub inspector Mariatu Conteh attached at the Criminal Investigation Department Central Division in Freetown she recalled on the 17th July 2022.
While on duty at the said office one Kemoh Sesay working for Guma Water Company arrest and brought both accused persons at the said station that they stole guma water liter. She said herself and D.Inspector Brima obtained voluntary caution statement from both accused but they denied the allegations. The caution statement of the accused persons was produce and tender in court as exhibit to form part of court records she said On the 20th of July 2022 herself together with D. Inspector B.A obtained charge statement from both accused persons the charge statement of both accused persons was produce and tendered in court to form part of the court records

However, Magistrate Peter Gogra adjourned the matter to the 26th August 2022, for further hearing whilst bail continues for both accused persons.
