The Manager of Leonco Fuel Station at Rogbaneh Road, Makeni city, Mr. Kalokoh has affirmed that his station received about ten thousand litres of fuel this week, noting that the issue lies with the supply chain and not the fuel dealers. Asked how long the supply will last, he replied that he wouldn’t know, “it depends on the sales”, adding that his station is against artificial scarcity.

The short fuel scarcity that hit Makeni city following the announcement of President Bio of the price reduction to NLe 18 is over as motorists and drivers, based on our observation, were seen getting the quantity of fuel they needed at ease on Tuesday unlike Sunday and Monday when it was tense because of shortage

The Chairman of the Commercial Bike Riders Union, Mohammed Kalokoh had called authorities to ensure that the district gets its quota of fuel supply in time. He said their members suffered serious consequences as a result of the scarcity they faced over the past weekend.

Sulaiman Koroma is a rider along Rogbaneh Road in Makeni he said he was happy that fuel is available in the district despite all the rumours within the city that the country is short of fuel. He stressed the need for the suppliers not to allow the stock to finish before bringing in more fuel.

However, NP which was empty on Monday was full of purchasers as usual on Tuesday after receiving its quota of supply from Freetown.
