The Regional Criminal Investigations Department Southern region is investigating a man for the alleged murder of an adult Vandy Sifoie formally of Grima Village in Tikonko Chiefdom Bo District. Deceased Vandy Sifoie is reported to have died at the Bo Government Hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds from a man identified as Lamina Musa who according to report was contracted with the sum of Ten Leones to help him with his farm work.
Police constable 19138 Alhaji Usman Mansaray is the Deputy Regional Media and Public Relations Officer South of the Sierra Leone Police, he noted that police were initially investigating a matter that has to do with wounding with intent at the Korinbondo Police Post.
The matter is now an alleged murder. He noted that Lamin Massaquoi is in police custody for the said matter helping them in their investigation as report has it that due to the killing of the deceased the suspect has changed his name from Lamina Musa to Lamin Massaquoi.
Police constable 19138 Mansaray pointed out that the suspect failing to perform what he was paid for chased the deceased and his wife whilst going to their farm and allegedly used a cutlass to occasion multiple wounds on the two couples.
But, the deceased could not resist the wounds and later died at the Bo Government whilst responding to treatment.
