The Vice President-1 of the Sierra Leone Football Association Harold Nat-Johnson on 5th August 2022 officially received the Activity Report of the 2021/22 League Season from the Sierra Leone Premier League Board (SLPLB).
The said report is meant to give an account of the administrative and financial operations of the PLB throughout the last season.
Receiving the report at the SLFA Secretariat Kingtom Freetown, VP Nat-Johnson commended the Premier League Board for “exemplary work in organizing a successful league with a high level of competitiveness and professionalism”.
“On behalf of the President and the Executive Committee, I would like to thank the entire membership of the board for a great job laced with novelties,” he said.
Whiles presenting the report to the Vice President-1, League Board member Nicky Spencer-Coker thanked the SLFA for allowing them to serve Sierra Leone football as last season’s organizers of the country’s top-tier league. She furthered that, “It was challenging but we endured and now we are proudly presenting the report of our stewardship”.
Spencer-Coker added that “We couldn’t have succeeded without your moral, technical and financial support. We are highly appreciative of that.”
The Premier League board was given the task to run the 2021/2022 Premier League season which was successful amidst the challenges the board during the running of the league, there was no sponsorship and support from the Government in the running of the league the club face huge setbacks in many areas such as gate taking, support from cooperating institutions as this was seen in the past season, but the just concluded league experience similar obstacles which were challenging for most of the clubs this at some point clubs were even called for cancelled of the Premier League due to lack of funding.
