19yrs old Abubakar Tunkara made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Wounding Contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and assault Occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 20th July 2022 at No.18 Grey bush the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded Osman Koroma and assaulted him in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded guilty.
The prosecution informed the Bench that fact as charged no available records for the accused person.
The accused person on his plea mitigation pleaded for mercy that he’s seriously sick and he didn’t know what come over him.
However, Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused person to one month imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown Sergeant 10041 M.R.E Koroma is prosecuting the matter.
