The Anti-Corruption Commission hosted a group of delegates from Banjul, the Gambia at its Headquarters office in Freetown, on the 25th July 2022. These delegates comprised of stakeholders in the implementation of the World Bank supported poverty alleviation Social Safety Net and Grievance Redress Mechanism, and their agenda is to learn understudy and to share experiences with the ACC on the World Bank and GoSL supported GRM component of the SSN.
The Nine man delegation was led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Vice President in The Gambia, Mr. Tarawally.
The GRM is a component of the SSN that was established to make it easy and safe for project beneficiaries to communicate their grievances and complaints to the ACC and to ensure that prompt and adequate actions are taken to address them, with the view to sustaining transparency, accountability and integrity in the project.
A team from The Gambia was also in Sierra Leone in November 2021, to understudy the work of the ACC ahead of the establishment of an anti-graft agency in that Republic.
