Tamba Lamina, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development has said in Koidu City that bad politicians are to be flushed out of Kono District as they are the one responsible for bad politics, division and under development in Kono District.
Tamba Lamina made the statement during the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed Regent Chief of Gbense Chiefdom Kono District Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda at a ceremony held at the Gbense Native Administrative court barry in Koidu City. According to him most of the wrong doings in Kono District which has to do with tribalism and the dissemination of hate messages for the division and underdevelopment of the District are orchestrated by the aforementioned bad politicians in Kono District.
He therefore suggested that they should be flushed out of the district for the sake of development and cohesion which he said is the mantra of the SLPP led government.
Officially inaugurating the newly appointed regent chief in Gbense Chiefdom Kono district the Minister of Local Government and Rural development Tamba Lamina pointed out that Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda is in the Chiefdom to represent the Government of Sierra Leone until the substantive Paramount Chief is elected.
He strictly advised the newly appointed Regent Chief of Gbense Chiefdom Kono District to be careful with those whom he described as bad politicians as they will not only distract him but will also deter development in the Chiefdom he is expected to provide leadership.
“I don’t have any iota of doubt in Chief Kamanda who has been appointed as the regent Chief owing to the demise of his boss because this is the second time he is assuming the afore said position and with the vast of experience acquired over the years I am very optimistic that he will live up to the abounding expectations ahead of him”, Tamba Lamina opined.
Minister Lamina intimated the audience that gone were the days when Chieftaincies were disadvantaged owing to the undue interference of the Government of the day.
He noted that during his tenure under the leadership of President Bio, Chiefs and their ruling homes are highly respected and secured.
He assured the newly appointed Regent Chief and the people of Gbense Chiefdom of government’s unflinching support in-terms of development.
Concluding, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development implored all present to collectively work towards the human capital development clarion call of President Bio in order to eradicate the common slogan among the youths, “Bra you borbor day oh”
