After a very tough battle of person to person campaigns, online video and audio campaign messages, phone calls and visitations the Bo district CSO on the 15th July 2022 at NMJD hall conducted what media houses present referred to as the most decent and peaceful elections they have covered in a very long time.

The two leading candidates for the District Chairman position Madam Regina Kombe Kague and Abdul Banya Braima were nominated and seconded by CSOs present before reading their manifestos and answered questions posed before votes were cast.

At the end of the counting, Abdul Banya Braima secured twenty valid votes, whilst Madam Regina Kombe Kague got ten (10). The elections management committee head, Madam Hannah Yambasu by the power vested in her declared Abdul Banya Braima the Chairman elect for the Bo district CSO, having secured two thirds of the valid votes cast.

Joseph Blackie for PRO and Rev. Momoh S. Kamara Secretary General went unopposed, having served diligently as PRO and Secretary.

In his victory speech, the Bo district CSO Chairman elect Abdul Banya Braima first appreciated God for his grace and favour, thanked all CSO,s for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work with everybody as his Campaign Slogan goes: Changing the narrative and bringing all on board because EVERYBODY matters and EVERY voice counts.”

He furthered that he will work side by side with Madam Regina Kombe Kague in all activities of relevance to the Bo district CSO as they are both winners.

He showered praises on the moral guarantors, Director Patrick Momoh of MOPADA, Alex Macavorey Director of CARITAS, NMJD Programme Director Paul Koroma, Convener Mustapha Kpaka and Director of Waves Madam Hannah Yambasu for conducting free, fair and transparent district CSO elections.
