Members of Jahmah Mosque in the community area of Koidu City have expressed dismay over the work done by one Engineer Solomon Sumana of Integrated Construction Company failing to address the regular flooding that occurs at the said Mosque. Such poor work has prevented Muslims from praying in the said Mosque whenever there is a heavy downpour.
Speaking to this medium, members of the mosques said that the work done by the engineer in question was unprofessional because his intervention did not address the regular flooding that occurs at the Jahmah Mosque but rather worsen the situation, and they are demanding a redo of the work before flooding overtake Mosque.
It could be recalled that funds in the tune of one hundred million Leones to address the reported flooding problem at the Jamah Mosque in Koidu City. The fund was provided by a businessman named Alhaji Abdulai Sidibay who has expressed dismay over the unprofessional work done by the said engineer and company and requested that the work should be revisited so that it would have its money’s worth.
In a meeting held with members of the mosque, the said engineer has accepted to redo the work but stated that the work which has been described by members as unprofessional as a result of what he called a conflict of interest as he put it “Engineers are to always satisfy their clients and not what they feel like doing”.
Meanwhile, Seventy Million Leones have been so far paid the remaining Thirty Million Leones for the completion of the said work to avoid flooding at the Jahmah Mosque.
