22yrs-old Sorie Koroma a Labour has been committed to the High Court to answer a case that was heard in the Magistrate court.
Magistrate Peter Gogra when reading the committal warrant said the prosecution led three witnesses including a factual witness. He added that having looked at the evidence adduced before him he is of the view that the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence against the accused person to warrant a committal of the matter to the high court for trials.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 31st March 2022 at Susan bay the western area in Freetown caused grievous bodily harm to Samuel Fofanah “alias Kashor” with intent to do him grievous bodily harm, and on count two at the same place and date maliciously wounded and assaulted the said Samuel Fofanah in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person on his first appearance and no plea was taken.
The accused person was not admitted to bail and was sent to the male correctional centre in Freetown, while Inspector Musu E Kpulun prosecuted the matter.
