Under the Leadership of Moyamba district council chairman, Joseph Mbogba have confined that the council has supported 250 free surgical operations in the district.
According to Joseph Mbogba said their support to the medical team in the district is part of council yearly budget, adding that they are working in partnership with councilors to recommend patient that are desperately in need of the service.
The district Medical superintendent for Moyamba government hospital, Dr. Gaderu Musa in an interview with this medium disclosed that they have complicated 65 surgical operations, safe and some have been discharged.
Dr. Musa further said all the drugs, food and transportation refund are provided by council adding that they are operating on various cases. Patient who benefited from the operations thanked the council and councilors for improving on their health as many disclosed that they were not having monies such medical ventures; they described the support as a blessing.
