Four notorious robbers, Anieu George, Abdul Senesie, Sammie Forbie and Sidie Turay were on the 28th June, 2022 sent to prison by magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No1 for allegedly being in possession of one pistol and 5 rounds of ammunition without licensed.
The accused Anieu George alias “deportee”, Abdul Senesie alias “short gun”, Sammie Forbie alias “face” and Sidie Turay alias “Paris” made their first appearance in court and we’re arraigned on four counts charges ranging from conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law, possession of small arms without licensed loitering with intent and other related count charge all contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the charge on count one, it was alleged that all the accused persons on Wednesday 1st June 2022, at Cole town Waterloo conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit possession of small arms and ammunition without licensed.
It was further alleged on counts two and three that the first accused Anieu George alias deportee on the same date and place was found in possession of one black and brown pistol and 5 rounds of ammunition without licensed.
Whiles count four added that all the accused persons on the same date were found loitering with intent to commit a felony.
When the charges were read and explain to all the accused persons, no plea was taken and no legal representation was made on their behalf.
ASP Christina Davis Cole Esq prosecuting the matter intimated the court that her witnesses were absent and therefore could not proceed with the matter in the circumstance requested for an adjournment to subpoena them.
Magistrate Kekura refused bail and ordered they be remanded in prison and the matter was adjourned to Tuesday 5th July 2022.
