The Chief Executive of the National Public Procurement Authority has installed hope into the education of the girl child during the second phase of the quiz and debate competitions in Kono District on Saturday 25th June 2022. 

Ibrahim Brima Swarray, who doubled as the boss of the National Public Procurement Authority and the founder of the Ibriham Brima Swarray Foundation said His Excellency President Bio had ensured in his social contract that Sierra Leoneans need Free Quality Education that which had to be something the nation would embrace. He assured us that for the country to walk on the right trajectory, education had to be the embodiment of the hopes of all and sundry.

He revealed that there is no nation in the world that had prosper without enhancing education. ‘’Today I am extremely convinced that His Excellency made no mistake to allow every school-going pupil to be educated, and I am extremely convinced that the girl child is supposed to be educated,’’ Ibriham Brima Swarray said.

 NPPA Boss urged Kono people to believe in education and equally adhere to their self-esteemed. He said that Sierra Leoneans need to have self-confidence and realised that they could do anything possible. He disclosed that the turning point of a nation hinged on the education of the girl child.

Sorie Mansaray, one of the winners of the debater competition as well as a pupil of Islamic Secondary School in Koidu appreciated the effort of the Ibriham Brima Swarray Foundation in extending its quiz and debate competitions in Kono District. ‘’If we have more of this foundation, we will have quality people with quality education,’’ Sorie Mansaray said.

Sahr Philip James, the winner of the quiz competition and a pupil of Koidu Secondary School said that the relentless studies he embarked on ahead of the event; made him emerge as the winner. He encouraged colleagues always to take their academic work with seriousness as well as tap into any given opportunity.

He implored parents and guardians to believe in their children, as education would provide the limelight for every family. Sahr Philip James thanked the Ibriham Brima Swarray Foundation for promoting education and bringing it to the doorstep of various schools across the country.

Tamba Gbomoh, a teacher of Yengema Secondary School in Koidu City applauded the venture taken by Ibriham Brima Swarray in enhancing education and promoting human capacity. He said even though education had over time been sent into extinction, the effort of Ibrahim Brima Swarray Foundation served as one of the factors in rejuvenating education in Sierra Leone. ‘’Education is similar to development,’’ Tamba Gbomoh assured.
