32yrs old David Dauda Dumbuya made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Trespass contrary to section 15 as of the public order Act of 1965 and threatening to kill contrary to section 14 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 1st May 2022 off Caulker Lane Sorie town the western area in Freetown did unlawfully entered into the land of complainant Naminah Kargbo when required not to do so and threatened to kill Naminah Kargbo.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.
Counsel representing the accused person M.A Kamara applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that he is a Sierra Leonean ordinarily resident within this jurisdiction.
That he has credible sureties that are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on his behalf.
He is not a flight risk he will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses.
He made his application pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965
However, Magistrate Kekura granted the accused person bail in the sum of ten million Leones or one surety in like sum.
Surety must be resident in the western area, the surety should produce identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown.
Bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar.
The matter was adjourned to the 29th June 2022 for further hearing Inspector Kadie M Taylor Prosecuting the matter.
