25yrs old Issa Kamara made his first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No.3 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Fraudulent Conversion Contrary to section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence sometimes in the Month of April 2022 at Grassama drive Hamilton the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say Ply tyres value two million Leones(2,000,000) seven Springs set value ten million five hundred thousand Leones(10,500,000) and other items valued sixteen million four hundred thousand Leones(16,400,000) from a Scanwa Trawler vehicle with registration number ATM 538 entrusted to him by Mohamed Gassama for the purpose of commercial use.
The charges was read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty, and was legally unrepresented.
Magistrate Daboh refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional centre in Freetown and matter adjourned to the 17th June 2022 for further hearing, while Sergeant Hassan Fofonah 9095 prosecuting the matter.
