The Sierra Leone Football Association Competitions department has on the 19th February 2021 released fixtures for the first Division National play off for the 2020 to 2021 season.
The release of the fixtures followed a successful meeting held with various Regional Secretaries at the SLFA secretariat.
According to Sorie Ibrahim Sesay the Head of Competitions at the SLFA, it was unanimously agreed that four out of the 16 qualifiers submitted by the respective Region be positioned to the play off stage.
He said all teams placement has been determined by their playing strength from their respective regions. It has been agreed that the qualifiers played on Home and Away basis.
The fixture was designed based on geographical proximity of the teams for the play off proper.
The first matches will be played on the 24th February 2021, while the return fixtures will be played 48 hours later on 26th February 2021.
It was later agreed that the play off will not go beyond the 13th March 2021. There have been so many concerns from some clubs because spectators will not be allowed to witness the matches. All matches will be played behind closed doors.
