Police in Bo are investigating at least three (3) men for an alleged gang rape of a sixteen year old girl in Bo name withheld.
Talking to this medium the southern region Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Police Force Assistant superintendent of Police Mohamed Bobson Senu noted that the reported gang rape took place at an office along Biama road in Bo on the 4thof May 2022.
He said the three alleged rapists heaving committed the said crime took to their heels but with the support of some well meaningful citizens of Biama Road Community in Bo at least two of the suspects John Lappia and Cyrod Fofanah were arrested on the 5th and 6th of May, 2022 and are now in Police custody helping them in their investigations.
ASP Senu maintained that the suspects are care takers of the office where they allegedly gang raped the sixteen years old girl in question.
He intimated this medium that police have visited the scene of Crime including other areas of Police interest as part of the pending investigation into the said matter. ASP Mohamed Bobson Senu commended the strategies of the Line Manager family support unit Bo West Police division ASP Konneh for tracing the alleged rapists who initially took to their heels when the information of their diabolic activity broke out.
Police investigation into the matter continues while the two suspects are still in police custody.
