Bo Rangers Football club has on Saturday 21st May 2022 Crowned as Champion of the Sierra Leone Premier for the time

Bo Rangers have won their first Premier League title after a 2-1 win against FC Johansen in Bo.

Striker Musa ‘Tombo’ Kamara scored both goals to earn his team the trophy.

He has increased his goal tally to 16.

The Elephants now have 72 points leading East End Lions by 11 with two games to go.

 The Rangers lift the trophy for the first time in 68 years.

Jose Solomon Cortes the head coach of BO Rangers said he feels elated to have won the trophy for the BO Rangers Football club and he wants to prepare the team for the Africa Champion League that is around the corner.

 “For now, I want the fans to enjoy the present moment”, coach Coartes noted.

Musa Noah Kamara the in-form striker of BO Rangers said he feels happy to win yet another Premier League trophy with Bo Rangers.

“I want to set a personal record for myself as a player and am looking forward to the Nigeria clash when Leone Stars have to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria on 9th June 2022”,he stated.

Kakua Rangers was later changed to Bo Rangers Football club and came into being in 1991-1992 under the NPRC Government it was on the advice of Secretary of State Captain Idriss Kamara, All-Stars, and Kakua Rangers amalgamated to form BO Rangers and it was not done by the district management.

According to Bo Kakua PC Boima, “this is the greatest day in the history of BO City it has been to the top, absolutely the top to win Sierra Leone Premier League, the best league, it is a miracle, and what Solomon Jose Cortes has been doing with this amazing team, we will do something for him here in the City”.

Babadi Kamara the Chairman of BO Rangers Football Club and some Stakeholders are the key pioneers in the transformation of the club during the opening of the Clubhouse and Secretariat on May 21st, 2021, Babadi Kamara outlined the three Objectives of the club are as Structure the club, have a clubhouse and Secretariat, and winning the Premier League and all the three have been achieved.

He affirmed that it’s being the talk of the country, and there’s no question about that, everything about this season has been remarkable, and the club’s achievement should be recognized in the honors list.

BO Rangers Fan club Chairman, Tejan Koroma said “Even if you are not a football fan, you can’t help being swept along the tidal wave of pride and emotion. It’s a dream come true and many never thought this would happen”.

The success of the club largely has to do with the investment as the Chairman decided to bring high profile players and a high profile coach and backroom staff are pivotal toward the success of the club and they have two more games to spare before the climax on the 29th May 2022.

Bitter rivals East End Lion’s football club’s poor performance continues after they settled to a goalless draw against RSLAF FC at the Approved School field and they are still 2nd on the table with (61) points.

At the Brima Attogua Mini Stadium, Ports Authority Football club defeated FC Kallon by a goal to nil to secure safety from the relegation zone, and the three points are vital to the club’s progress in their flight from the battle of the relegation zone.

At the Police field, Old Edwardian football club settled to a goalless draw with Bai Bureh Warriors as both teams are battling in the relegation zone and both have two matches to spare before the league come to its conclusion.
