The main difference between love and lust is that lust is purely a sexual attraction while love is both passionate and compassionate. Lust and love aren’t mutually exclusive. Though you can experience love without lust or lust without love, it’s possible to experience both at the same time and for the same person.
People usually express love in different ways; some expresses their love through words, whilst others express it through actions. But the best way to find out what someone is truly feeling for you is never to run down a checklist of behaviors and characteristics. It’s to communicate with them, and this includes whether or not the person is your potential partner, fiancé, or friends with benefits.
