55yrs old Chief Ya Alimamy Turay made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Wounding Contrary to section 20 of the offences against the persons Act of 1861 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 8th February 2021 at old school wash car hill station in the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded Ballah Kalma on count two at the same place and date assaulted Ballah Kalma in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The matter was mentioned whilst the accused person was absent the prosecution inspector Musu E Kpulun applied for Bench warrant against the absent accused person.
However, Magistrate Gogra granted the application and adjourned the matter to the 24th May 2022 for further hearing.
