The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone Her Excellency Fatima Jabbie Maada Bio said the Coalition for Change Political Party (C4C) has gone into extinction. Madam Bio made the statement during her recent visit to Kamara Chiefdom in Kono District together with her husband, President Julius Maada Bio.
According to her, the C4C Party is no more because their Leader Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina has made up his mind to return to his political home the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) come 2023 general elections as she put it ‘when the head of a snake is cut off the remaining part is just an ordinary rope’.
She thanked Hon. Lamina and Fofanah among many others for throwing their weight behind her for the political fight come 2023 general elections and implored those sitting on the political fence to see reasons and join the bandwagon for the development and success of Kono District and the Sierra Leone People’s Party respectively.
“ Although the then C4C Political party was the property of Kono’s which am part of, but my position as the First Lady cannot allow me to perform what my brothers and sisters are expecting from me so I advise you all to join the ruling SLPP now that C4C is no more Madam Fatima Maada Bio opined” whilst describing her husband as the ever honest, loving and God fearing President the Country has produced, Madam Fatima Bio implored all and sundry to think wise by voting for President Bio come 2023 general elections.
She outlined the following as some of the bench marks of her husband’s Presidency. The Free Quality School education initiative, Freedom of Speech , the Pin coding of Nurses and teachers, infrastructural development to name but a few. She assured all present that the problem of deplorable road network in Kamara Chiefdom and Kono District as a whole will soon be the thing of the past.
Meanwhile, efforts by this medium to contact the leader of the C4C Political Party in the well of Parliament Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina proved futile as calls and messages sent to him base on the First Lady statement; no response up to press time.
