President of Old Bo School Boys Association Khalilu Umar Bah spoke on the 116 celebration of Bo School that will kick start this Friday 15 April.
He explained that coincidentally this year’s celebration is happening in the month of Ramadan, noting that it is good for them because it epitomizes religious tolerance.
He revealed that due to the bilateral relationship between Sierra Leone and Nigeria, the Guest of Honor for this year’s celebration is the High Commissioner of Nigeria to Sierra Leone, pointing out that the Minister of Tertiary and Higher Education, Associate Professor Alpha Tejan Wurie will chair the occasion.
He explained that the President, Julius Maada Bio has added more impetus to the school, revealing that despite of his busy schedule, President Bio will attend this year’s celebration.
“President Bio is very passionate about Bo School. He feels protected whenever he is within the confines of Bo School,” he noted.
He also gave highlight of the programme which according to him will start on Friday with Prayer Time in the Mosque which they have just constructed in the school.
After prayer, there will be speech Day and prize giving ceremony, followed by ‘Sunakati’ Evening and Re-union Night all in the school compound.
On Saturday it will be the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Old Boys, followed by lunch, games and sport and Cocktail and Dance at Bo School Dinning Hall.
This will be followed by match-pass on Sunday and the AGM will continue on Monday which will symbolize the end of the celebration.
