26yrs old Bilal Kanu an IPAM Student made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown to answer to an allegation charge of theft.

The accused was arraigned in court on a count charge of larceny- contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1961. According to the charge sheet, the accused, on Sunday 23rd January 2022, at Upgun Roundabout, Jenner Wright Road the Western Area in Freetown did steal by trick one iPhone 12 pro max mobile phone with International Mobile Equipment Identification Number(IMEI) 357771758950161 and 3557771758699834 valued Le12,000,000/00, property of Mohamed Marrah.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and pleaded guilty to the offence.  

Magistrate Kekura sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown for records and sentence, while Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai prosecuting the Matter.

Matter adjourned to the 14th April 2022 for sentence.
