Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher of the High Court of Sierra Leone on the 8th April 2022 has ordered the All People’s Congress National Secretary General Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh to contact Adebayo to get him to do an audio message apologizing to him and the country for his insult and abuse as claimed by him doing so on behalf of the APC party.
Justice Fisher has refused to go on with the matter of which Final Judgment of the matter was to be decided on Friday and said that he will return the said matter back to the Chief Justice following an audio message by Adebayo which was played in court wherein he abused Hon. Justice Fisher’s mother and the death of his son which angered the Judge and demand for an apology in which the said Adebayo was acting on behalf of the APC.
In his Address to the court and supporters of the opposition party, he said the matter was brought to him in February 2021 and there has been interlocking application by both the defense counsel and the prosecutor for the plaintiff.
The Judge in his Address to the court and to Counsel J.M Jengo continued that he received an Affidavit of compliance dated 25th March and was received by him on the 28th March 2022 in relation to coming to force of the Constitution of the APC party.
He addressed supporters of the opposition party in court that there has been a lot of propaganda, misleading information which is not propagating a good image of the party neither is it helping the court nor the lawyers involved in the matter at hand.
Defense Counsel for the 1st Defendant SK Kabba said the APC party came out with a press release disassociating themselves from the notorious Adebayo which he read aloud I’m court, and urged the judge that someone who is not a registered member of the party shouldn’t dictate the Affairs of the party that’s affecting the progress of the party.
J.M Jengo also made his submission to the judge saying the opposition party is seen as a democratic party therefore someone who is neither a registered member nor someone who does not understands how the judiciary works shouldn’t dictate the process.
I.I Mansaray Esq also made his plea and humble submission to the judge to continue with the judgment and not handover the matter to the Chief Justice as he said will start the whole process all over.
Justice Fisher then ordered the Secretary General to put a stop to it and ordered that the said Adebayo apologize to him and the nation for his disgusting attitude.
The matter has been adjourned for Monday for the judge final decision.
