The Sierra Leone Paralympic team has on 18th March 2022 safely touched down in Johannesburg South Africa to participate in South Africa Sports Association for the Physical Disabilities (SASAPD) national championship that is set to start from 18th to 23rd March 2022.
Ten countries and 33 Athletes are expected to participate in this wonderful tournament.
So far about 95% of the countries and athletes have arrived. The expectation is very much high as every country and athlete has the confidence to win and qualify for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022.
Sorie Kargbo is the only national para- Athlete and is one of the athletes for the 100m and long jump events. This program is sponsored by GAPS Africa.
According to Sorie Kargbo, and the team, he has promised the nation that we will do the needful to qualify the Country in this major tournament.
The last Olympic Games in Japan Sorie Kargbo were outstanding as he took the first position in Africa among hundreds of other athletes from Africa in the Para Games.
When talking to this medium before his departure he wants to make sure that he maintained the records and do massive improvement to challenge the other top athletes in the World.
