After a successful training at the Peace Mission Training Centre (PMTC), the National Youth Service (NYS) has started the deployment of the fourth batch of corps members to various MDAs and private institutions across the country.

The deployment which started last week has seen the deployment of corps members to the Human Rights Commission, Immigration Department, Handicap International and National Youth Commission among others.

Receiving corps members on behalf of the Executive Secretary at the Human Rights Commission, the Admin Officer, Mrs. Annisatu Sesay, admonished them to be open minded as they are going to various communities.

She told them that they are not going to be placed at the headquarters in Freetown because according to her, they don’t have enough space at the Commission’s headquarters. She said they are going to send them to their various offices across the country.

She said the commission is for everybody but called on NYS to deploy more women to the Commission.

The Director of Administration at Immigration Department, Komba Momoh, addressing the corps members stressed on confidentially saying that corps members should make sure that they keep their secret.

He added that they don’t want to see their documents on social media stating that disciplinary actions will be taken against anyone who go against the ethics.

“You have to be disciplined and punctual. Don’t allow your bosses to go to the office before you. We can incorporate you base on your performances,” he assured.
