As a way of strengthening the National Senior Men’s team Leone Stars ahead of the AFCON 2023 Qualifiers with support from the Government of Sierra Leone, SLFA has successfully concluded arrangements to hold three FIFA sanctioned international friendly matches against Togo, Liberia, and Congo Brazzaville on the 24, 27 and 29 March 2022 respectively.
All matches are scheduled to play in Antalya, Turkey.
The Technical Team has invited, among other regulars, a few new names including but not limited to Jonathan Sahr Morsay, who had consented to play for Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone national team hopes to start their Nations Cup qualifiers in June this year, the next Africa Cup is set to be hosted in Ivory Coast in 2023.
