Magistrate Sahr Kekura presiding at the Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown has on Friday 11th March 2022 granted bail to Ibrahim Sorie Kamara in the sum of Le 200 million Leones after police alleged that he forged deed of conveyance.

Kamara appeared before Magistrate Sahr Keikura on two counts charges of forgery contrary to Section 2(1) (a) of the Forgery Act of 1913, and uttering forged survey plan contrary to Section 6(1) and (2) of the Forgery Act of 1913.

According to the police, the accused, Koroma, on Friday 17th December 2021 at Tokeh Village in Freetown, with intent to defraud forges certain documents, to wit, deed of conveyance dated 29th November 1979, registered on volume 314, page 20 with a survey plan LS 1706/74 purported to have been prepared and surveyed by the Director of Survey and Lands, knowing same to be false.

Police also alleged that the accused, Koroma, on the same date and place, displayed certain forged documents purported to be true and accurate survey plan.

Sergeant Mohamed Lahai who prosecuted the matter told the Court that his witness was absent. He requested for an adjournment in order for him to bring witness or witnesses to court.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Keikura granted Koroma Le 200 million bail, plus two sureties whom he said must be resident of Western Area and should produce proof of residence. He has adjourned the matter to the 17th March 2022.
