The head of female Football at the Sierra Leone Football Association has on the 8th March 2022 has held a one-day football competition at the country’s football academy.
As part of her strive to develop female football across the country and amidst the challenges faced, the head of female football in the Sierra Leone Football Association Executive Madam Ramatulai Kamara has concluded a one-day football competition that was organized to celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March 2022.
According to Madam Ramatulai, the one-day competition helped to bring the female players together and also helped identify talents even though they joined other women’s organizations to celebrate the day.
She added that despite the challenges faced she needs more support from various institutions and meaningful citizens to help actualize her dream to develop female football across the country.

Cash prizes were distributed to the various teams and trophy was also presented to the Champions. She was the head of the delegation for the female under (20) that were knocked out by Guinea in the World Cup qualifiers and she became a female executive member when it was made clear that there should be a female rep and her position was contested during the Sierra Leone Football Association elective Congress in Makeni.
