TILER REMANDED FOR LARCENY

Morie Sow a tiler made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny in dwelling house contrary to Section 13 (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 19th January, 2022 at Econ Drive IMATT the western area in Freetown, the accused person entered the dwelling house of Haja Fanta Kallon and stole one long gold chain valued at seventeen million six hundred and twenty five thousand Leones, one roll ear ring valued eleven million seven hundred and fifty thousand Leones, one set gold ear ring valued thirty-five million two hundred and fifty thousand Leones, one choker gold chain valued nine million four hundred thousand leones, one gold chain with mango locket valued ten million five hundred and seventy thousand Leones, one set of gold ear ring and locket valued four million seven hundred thousand Leones, one baby gold locket valued one million seven hundred and sixty two thousand Leones and one gold watch valued four million seven hundred thousand Leones all to the total value of ninety- nine million two hundred and eighty seven thousand Leones(99,287,000) properties of Haja Fanta Kallon.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person of which he pleaded not guilty.

The accused person was unrepresented. However, Magistrate Sahr Kekura refused him bail and sent the accused person at the male correctional center in Freetown.

Inspector Kadie M. Taylor is prosecuting and the matter is adjourned to the 2nd March 2022
