In a bid to alleviating President Bio’s topflight program in terms of refining education across the country, Chief Executive of the National Public Procurement Authority Ibriham Brima Swarray has provided a fully furnished ultra-modern building to the students of Eastern Technical University in Kenema on Thursday 17th February 2022.
When making his remark, NPPA Chief Ibriham Brima Swarray said the construction of the state-of-the-art ultra-modern building for the students is a testament to the trust President Bio has accorded to him and equally the love he has for Kenema.
He stated that the fervent commitment of His Excellency President Bio in putting interlinking knots of literate level especially in Kenema prompted his effort to replicate the same to the Eastern Technical University. “what I have done here is not for me, if you have anybody to say thank you to, just tell President Bio thank you,’’ Procurement Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray said.
He revealed that the President Bio-led administration believes in education; and as such he is proud to be part of the in-roads President Julius Maada is making.
He added that in lieu of him being a native of Kenema, he assured that he would continue to give his support to the university especially in earnest need.
The accessible ultra-modern building is designed and attached with air conditioner; free Internet service, newly standardized printer, consignment of A4 papers and six months DSTV subscription benefit for the enhancement of easy learning and relaxation scenery.
Principal of the Eastern Technical University, Professor Mohamed Konneh applauded Chief Ibriham Brima Swarry for providing such infrastructure for the students and the university by extension.
He said his administration is always ready to embrace goodies from well-meaning Sierra Leoneans that would tend to bring huge benefits to the doors of the university.
“I am honoured for receiving these gifts and I want to call on others to emulate the kind gesture of Mr. Ibriham Brima Swarry,’’ he said.
Professor Mohamed Konneh said the exemplary character and support of Chief Ibriham Brima Swarray had been written in the history of the university.
He affirmed that the ultra-modern building would be rightfully used; and that he also admonished students to take their academic work seriously, as there are consoling prospects at the end of the tunnel.
Foday Bockarie Kallon, the Students Union President of Eastern Technical University thanked Chief Ibriham Brima Swarray for fulfilling his promise as well as leading by example in the National Public Procurement Authority. He said as a president; he would strive hard to implement control and even maintain standards whiles they are using the building.
As a way of paying appreciation in return, Foday Bockarie Kallon and team awarded the NPPA Boss with a customized certificate by his unpaid striving commitment and service to the university.
