Port Authority Football club has on 16th February 2022 settled for a goalless with Kamboi Eagles football club at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium in the East End of Freetown.
Port Authority picked up a red card in the 85 minutes deep into the second half of play as they held on to grab a point in the match.
According to Lamin Bangura, the head coach of Port Authority said the Officiating was poor as the match officials were not tasked to interpret the rules to the latter.
Whilst, Francis Zappa Koroma the head coach of Kamboi Eagles said to grab a point is much better than playing a team with a man down is not easy. He promised to go back to their drawing board to prepare for next match.
The match started with flamboyant play from both teams as Port Authority came close at the start of 15 minutes of play with Joseph Cleveland who met a solid defensive work from Kamboi Eagles that held on to his attacking speed.
The visitors Kamboi Eagles football fought hard to get a goal but were not clinical in front of goal which causes them to draw the game.
Both teams demonstrated high professionalism after winning their first games in their respective opening matches.
After the recess, Port Authority got many chances but failed to convert any. Kamboi Eagles goalkeeper was outstanding throughout the match as he made better saves to denied Port Authority Football club from having a goal.
Ports Authority is in a mixed form in the Sierra Leone Premier League as they have won three home games at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium. The waterfront boys are in 11th Position in the Premier League.
Kamboi Eagles are in good form in the Premier League and they have won three away games, the latest was against Anti-Drugs where they came from two goals to win by five goals to three in a match of eight goals thriller. Kamboi Eagles are in 4th Position in the Premier League.
Both Port Authority and Kamboi Eagles have won the match.
