Tenneh Songu a mother of one daughter was brutally hacked with a machete by his step son Alusine Jacob in the township of Mendewa, Bagbe Chiefdom, Bo District. The gruesome incident of chopping off the right wrist and arm of the lady happened on 10th February 2021.
Mendewa is a distance of 32 miles from the city of Bo. Alusine who has been murdered by an angry crowd that pursued and battered to death reportedly asked his step mother for his property. The mangled lady, Tenneh Songu was apparently on her way to the bath room when the desperate Alusine attacked her with the machete.
Augustine Songu the town Chief of Mendewa is the husband of Tenneh the victim and son of the slain Alusine.
Report say Alusine has been a notorious narcotics drug addicts and guzzler of alcohol. He had relocated from Freetown sometimes in August.
The step mother now admitted at the Bo government hospital was said to be very kind to the boy.
The 21yrs old Father owns an Palm Plantation and he was expected to have been in control of it. According to eyes witness said he is often a drug addict, alcoholic consumer and a smoker. He was however welcome in good fate by his stepmother who always extend gestures to him.
Chief Songu, father of Alusine, told newsmen that he was jolted from sleep by loud cries of neighbors yelling and howling that Alusine was killing the lady.
“I woke up and came outside to see Tenneh lying in pool of blood and I rushed to the nearby Town of Njala Komboya to alert the Police, who came and conveyed the wounded lady and the unconscious Alusine. Alusine died at the Bo government hospital.
Musa J. Brima who at the scene of incident said Alusine was requesting from her step mother an unspecified property.
The murdered Alusine never proved reliable to control his father’s oil palm estate, A-Z has gathered.
The media Officer of the Sierra Leone Police, Inspector Mohammed Bobson Senu said they had established a case of wounding with intent against Alusine Jacob but since he is dead the matter will likely be closed.
However, the Police will still follow up to see other possible connections that might lead to further arrest of any potential accomplices to the crime.
The wounded lady remains in a critical condition at the Bo Government Hospital.
