The Sierra Leone Squash Association with support from Sierra Fishing Company has on Thursday, 27th January extended donations of squash raquets and balls to the Bo School, QRS, and Christ the King College in Bo.

Ten raquets and five balls were donated to each school.

This is to further popularize a less known sport in the provinces.

Representing the squash president was Junisa Musa who is the Human Resource Manager at Sierra Fishing Company.

Coaches are going to be attached to the schools so that the kids can learn and get au- fait with a game that is less known in the country.

Bo School was chosen among the other schools because it is the only school with facilities to play the game.

Sierra Leone has already been represented at international sporting events abroad by squash players.

And it is the wish of the association president, Basseem Sahid Mohamed to let the game take root in the country.

Responding to the gesture, one of the principals, Michaeala of CKC was very grateful to the donating team. And promised that they will ensure the equipment is well taken care of and the kids play the game to the best of their ability.

Squash tournament is organized every year at YSC, Wilkinson road in Freetown with millions of Leones and trophies given to participants and winners.

The training of pupils will be Sponsored and monitored.
