Inspector General of Police Ambrose Michael Sovula, who has been awarded a doctoral degree from the Africa Graduate University in Uganda in Leadership and Strategic Management and he is crowning his achievement in sealing a holy matrimony in grand style in Bo.
Whilst this is a private affair that must be recognized in all fairness, but the scoop has landed on our desk from officers preferring not be named.
They have claimed that some senior officers were taxed to make cash deduction from the entitlement to contribute to the marriage ceremony slated for Saturday in Bo.
We sought to cross the claim of taxing officers to support the boss’s marriage.
Police Media sources denied the claim as baseless, noting that it is not possible for anybody to slash the meager salary of any officer to support the Inspector General’s Marriage.
We contacted the chairperson of the committee set up to organize the marriage ceremony, Assistant Inspector General Elizabeth Turay, who fumed in rage that it is personal issue and could not respond to the question about taxing or contributions of any sort from Police officers towards the said marriage.
