The Head of Cooperate Affairs at the Sierra Leone Football Association, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, has on Tuesday the 9th February 2021 disclosed that the Football Association has received the first set of consignment of Umbro Brand Jersey for both all National teams ranging from U-17 team to the Leone Stars Team A.
He said the first set of consignment of Umbro Sponsorship brand Jersey arrived in Sierra Leone via the Turkish Airways early this month.
A-Z Sport has gathered that the first set was for the U-17 team that was taking part in Senegal tournament but crash out of the tournament in the group stages.
He confirmed that the Umbro Brand Jersey will provide training kits for both levels and the brand will be available for the crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho in the 2022 Cup Nations tournament to be hosted in Cameroon.
The National team Leone Stars is currently undergoing intensive training ahead their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
The qualifiers encounter will involve both home and away as the team has three points after four matches played.
Sport Analyst says the matches against Benin and Lesotho are supposed to be treated as a must-win, if only Leone Stars wants to qualify for the Tournament.
Sierra Leone last qualified for the Tournament way back in 1996, 25 years since. The Technical Team is presently working hard to close the chapter of the 25 years.
