The National Covid-19 Emergency Response Centre (NaCOVERC), is deeply concerned over fake identity of some travelers who are going forward for a mandatory Covid-19 test. The issue has created serious problems for NACOVERC in communicating results to those tested, A-Z news has gathered.

Expressing their dismay in a press statement, NaCOVERC has now demanded anyone going for a COVID-19 test at one of the six testing sites (ADRA-Waterloo, Jui Chinese Hospital, Rokupa Hospital, Macauley Street Hospital, King Harman Road Hospital and Lumley Hospital) for local travel, to provide full and accurate contact details and carry with them a valid form of identification (I.D) and a working, charged phone, among other identifications details. NaCOVERC says those with proper identification will not be tested.

The press statement also sent a strong worded advice to local travelers to desist from concealing their true identity, while going for the mandatory Covid-19, reminding that providing false personal information (name, phone number, address), or evading tracking by the Response, is a serious malpractice which is putting lives at risk and therefore, anyone found caught in such heinous act would be dealt with accordingly.

The press statement continues that  since the institution of the mandatory Covid-19 test for local travelers,  hundreds of new COVID-19 positive cases have already been identified, indicating  that these were people who may not have known they were carrying and spreading the virus.

NaCOVERC further reminds the general public that when an electronic pass is granted, the driver and any passenger in the vehicle covered by the E-pass, must dial *1920# to obtain a code, which should be provided to the Lab personnel at the testing site, emphasizing that the E-pass and negative test result should be presented at the security points in order to enable movement beyond Western Area.
