For Wounding: 38yrs Old Business Woman Denied Bail

38yrs old business woman Georgiana Boima made her first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861

According to the particulars of offence on Friday 12th November 2021 at Josiah drive off regent Road Lumley the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded Lamin Kamara with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and Assaulted the said complainant.

The charges were read to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.

Lawyer representing the accused person Ibrahim S.Y Kamara applied for bail on behalf of the accused person pursuant to section 79 (2) of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 noting that the accused person is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction that he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on his behalf and he is not a flight risk.

However, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 22nd November 2021 Sergeant
