Police Tendered assorted alleged drugs against 3 aged women

The exhibit clerk at the Trans National Organized Crime Unit, detective police 1686 Robert Kemokai has tendered in court wraps of cannabis sativa, Kush, Indian hemp and smoking pipes in respect of an alleged drug matter.

The accused persons, Tenneh Conteh, Abibatu Turay and Alice are before the court on case file number C/S 2048 on four count charges of unlawful possession of cannabis sativa, contravention of requirement and unlawful possession of pipes used in connection with the smoking of opium or Indian hemp contrary to section 49(c) of the Pharmacy and Drugs Act of 2021.

It was alleged that on Tuesday 28th September 2021, at Car Wash, off Beach Road Lumley, the accused persons were found in possession of wraps of  cannabis sativa, Kush weight five kilograms, Tramadol and eleven pipes use for smoking opium or Indian hemp without reasonable for excuse.

Led in his examination in chief by Assistant Superintendent of police Aminatu, the exhibit clerk said on the on 6th of October 2021 he was on duty when detective police Constable 19234 Joe RT handed over to him some exhibits which he registered against serial number 32/2021. He said the exhibits includes one hundred and eight wraps of cannabis sativa, twenty one wraps of Kush, ten tramadol, eleven and pipes containing cocaine and opium.

 After tendering the exhibits, the accused plea for the Bench to forgive them and tamper justice with mercy.

Magistrate Sahr Kekura adjourned the matter to the 23rd of November 2021 for the prosecution to continue.
