23yrs old Ishmael Jalloh made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 20th October 2021 at Dundas Street the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded David Kargbo with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and assaulted the said complainant.
Prosecution witness number one David Kargbo a D.J said he recognized the accused person and he recalled on the 10th October 2021 something transfer between himself and the accused person the witness said at 4am he came outside and met the accused person and another man fighting he attempted to settle the matter between the accused person and the other man the accused person pushed him and he hit his head on a vehicle where he became unconscious and he weak up he was in Connaught hospital where he was treated and he made report to the police station where statement was obtained from him and his witness.
Lawyer representing the accused person M. Sheriff applied for bail on behalf of the accused person pursuant to section 79 (2) of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 that the accused person is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction that he has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on his behalf and he is not a flight risk.
Magistrate Gogra refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 15th November 2021 Sergeant
