Alusine Daramy, Alhassan Sankoh, Mohamed Saidu Bah, James Koroma, Mohamed Kargbo, Alie Mansaray and Mohamed Alpha Sesay have on the 26th October, 2021 granted one hundred million Leones bail by Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No.3 in Freetown.
The accused person are charged on four courts charges to wit two counts of malicious damage, contrary to section 51 of the malicious damage Act 1861, throwing missiles contrary to section 6 of the public order Act No.40 of 1965, Riotous conduct contrary to Section 12 of the public order Act No.4 of 1965
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 21st October 2021 at Portee Junction, Wellington the western area in Freetown maliciously damage the front and back wind screen of school bus with registration number 048 value property of Sierra Leone government whilst in control of Mohamed Papa Conteh and on the same date maliciously damage the side glass of Altima vehicle with registration number APO 293 value one million five hundred thousand Leone property of Abu Kamara on the said date behave in a riotous manner and was fund throwing missiles.
The charges were read to the accused persons and they pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Daboh was informed that two of the accused person according to the age assessment at the male correctional center is Juvenile.
Magistrate Daboh said he is dealing with the charge sheet from the police station and it was stated that they’re 18 years old and that there is nothing in the court to show that they’re Juvenile.
However magistrate Daboh granted each accused persons bail in the sum of One hundred million Leones each or one surety in like sum the surety must be their parents or guardian the said surety should produce their identity card depicting his/ her addresses in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar.
Sergeant 7891 M.M George prosecuting the matter, and has been adjourned to the 28th October 2021.
