David Turay and Ibrahim Jalloh have been arrested by BO police for being in possession of large quantity of marijuana, and they were arrested over the weekend at Gbanja Town in Bo.
According to Police Media Boss in the Southern Region, Inspector Mohamed Bobson Senu said the arrest was as a result of the 21 century policing implemented by Regional Police Commander, South, AIG Aiah Edward Samadia.
The arrest, according to Inspector Senu, was done as a result of intelligence led policing strategy and encouraged the people of Bo to continue sharing relevant information to curb such action within the district and the country as whole.
He said the two people arrested have been thoroughly investigated and matter charged to court.
Residents of Gbanja Town in Bo commended the police for being proactive in responding to their calls for the arrest of both suspects.
The residents further called on the police for a regular patrol at Gbanja Town in Bo in order to curb crime in their environment, adding that “we will ever remain to work with the police to ensure people with criminal plans are arrested in the community.”
