MINISTER OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT HAILED

Former Sierra Leone People’s party member of Parliament Hon. Sahr Emmanuel Gbomoh has described the Minister of local government and rural development Tamba Lamina as the best local minister ever in the political history of the country. 

The former law maker made the statement in an engagement with the minister and some potential support group members for the minister at the NDMC old camp Ngayia town in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District.

According to him since the Minister assumed office he has tremendously worked to bring the SLPP led government to the grassroots people through his regular visits to the different regions and districts in the country in order to cascade government’s policies and developments.

 He intimated the audience that one of the ministers’ strategies of cementing the good relationship among the party, people and himself is the organization of Chiefdom support groups for the party which he said has recently seen the holding of meetings, given that political meetings in the name of the SLPP has not being going on in the Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District.

 Hon. Gbomoh appealed to the people of Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District to settle for the friendship which the minister of local government and rural development has come to establish with them as he is fun of establishing a symbiotic relationship unlike other politicians who only come closer to the people when is time for elections or they may want to benefit from the people. He further commended the minister for the initiative of organising such meeting in the chiefdom as it will   in no doubt create a base for the success of his political aspirations.

 “With Minister Tamba Lamina, on our side, the SLPP led government will definitely turn its developmental plans to us and therefore implored him to extend similar initiative to the remaining Chiefdoms for the benefit of Kono District and the Sierra Leone People’s Party as a whole.

On his part the Minister of Local government and rural development Tamba Lamina foremost expressed delight for the respect and sentiment expressed by the chiefdom authorities for his party and himself coupled with the peoples unflinching support for the party come 2023 general elections.

 He assured the potential support group members of the party’s willingness to effect development in the chiefdom and Kono District as a whole and further implored them to support the newly elected district executives of Kono.

Minister Tamba Lamina described his government as serious and the best noting that since they assumed power there has never being food shortage in the country whilst the neighbouring countries like Liberia where rice is totally scarce. He thanked President Bio for given him the opportunity to serve his people and the country in various capacities.
