FCFC HOPEFUL OF CONSECUTIVE WINS AGAINST EAST END TIGERS

Freetown City Council Football club will on Wednesday 22nd September 2021 hopeful of registering back to back wins for the first time in the Sierra Leone Premier league when they will host East End Tigers Football club at the Brima Attouga mini Stadium.

Freetown City Council Football club has picked up four points from their two matches since the resumption of the premier League on the 11th September 2021 and they are currently in 6th position after ten matches played after winning they have won four with sixteen points.

According to the Acting head Coach Hassan Bongo the team is focused and in high spirits to face tigers at home soil and they are working game by game to see where they will end up in the League.

He affirmed that after a surprise result at the Port LOKO Mini Stadium when his side gets a comfortable three goals to nil win against Bai Bureh Warriors that has inspired the City Boys to go out there and secure another win against East End Tigers Football club.

 “We knew it’s going to be a difficult match for us considering the side we are playing, but am sure my boys will definitely give me the three points in today’s encounter,” Coach Hassan Bongo assured.

East End Tigers Football club has on Friday appointed Mohamed Jawara as head coach and Abu Sankoh as Technical Director. The two coaches are looking forward to get their first win in the Premier league. Both coaches have experienced spells in several premier League clubs and with knowledge of the dynamics of matches.

Later on Wednesday at the Siaka Stevens Stadium 6pm kick-off, FC Johansen will take on Mount Aureole SLIFA in a crunch tie.

 FC Johansen in their last match came from a goal down to beat Anti-Drugs Football club as the win has taken them to seventh position in the league table.

“It is an important match for my team considering the position they find themselves now with each and every team looking forward to get to the top. We can’t afford to lose that on Wednesday and my boys are prepared for that match, because a win will take us to fifth position in the league table”, said the head coach.

Mount Aureole SLIFA are currently in the bottom in (18) position of the Premier league table after ten matches played they have only manage to secure one win and concede five defeats and four draws.

 In their last match they were held to a two all draw against Central Parade Football Club. The management is worried with such a poor form the club is going through.

 The meeting will be the first meetings in top flight football between the two teams.

On Friday at the Siaka Stevens Stadium @ 6pm, Mighty Black pool Football Club will welcome big money spenders BO Rangers Football club who currently occupied the second position in the Premier league table.

The match has already started gaining hype as the boys from BO Rangers want to continue their winning ways. They have played ten matches won seven with three defeats, while Mighty blackpoll are in the twelve position after ten games played with ten points.

Head to head between the two sides, BO Rangers Football club has never won against Mighty Black Pool in the last three meetings.

On the 14th March 2020 in the return leg they settle to a (1-1) all draw and on the 12th April 2019 they settled to a (0-0) draw and on the 6th April 2019 black pool defeated BO Rangers by two goals to one (2-1) at the Siaka Stevens Stadium.
