Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 has granted bail in the sum of forty million Leones to two accused persons Foday Lansana Marrah and Abu-Bakr Marrah who were arraigned before him for obtaining money by false pretenses.

According to the charge sheet, it was alleged that on the 16th of May 2019 at 336 Bai Bureh Road, both accused persons conspired with other persons unknown to defraud complainant Alhaji Alieu Koroma, the sum of six million one hundred and forty million Leones. They are said to have falsely pretended that they will help the complainant secure a job at Qnet office.

On count two, both accused persons on the same date allegedly obtained the aforementioned amount on the same false pretense, purporting that they have the means of securing jobs for defendants at Q-Net situated at Calaba town.

They were granted bail but unable to meet the condition which prompted the police to hand them over for remand until the 4th of February 2021.
