Alfred Kamara, Santos Dumbuya, Abu Bakarr Kamara, Morris Dukalay, Amidu Mansaray, Idrissa Kanu and Hassan Marrah made their first appearance before Magistrate Lodonnette Macauley of Pademba road court No.5 on one count charge to wit loitering contrary to section 7 of the public order Act No.46 of 1965.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 1st December 2022 at Crab town Lumley the western area in Freetown were found loitering.
The charge was read and explained to the accused persons and they pleaded guilty.
Counsel representing the accused persons B. Bangura and J.A.M.M. Amara made plea mitigation for the accused person.
He said the accused persons don’t want to waste the time of the court they’re out there findings their living from Kekeh riding and passengers.
Defense counsel said in the morning around 8:30 the accused persons were arrested and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
However, Magistrate Macauley sentenced the accused persons to two months imprisonment or pays a fine of two hundred thousand Leones to the state. Assistant Superintendent of police Evelyn Conteh prosecuted the matter.
